Cookie and local storage policy
We explain the records that LectureSift keeps in your browser, their purpose, content and control methods, together with their technical keys.

cookieIt is a small text record that a website leaves to the browser and can be sent to the site in subsequent requests. Local storage (localStorage)stores preference or session information on the device and does not automatically send it with every request. Session tokenis a timed value that proves the authority of the logged in account. Technical diary (log)is an event log kept on the server for security and error resolution.
Rewarded ads are off by default. For a rewarded ad, Google Publisher Tag loads only when an eligible user explicitly starts an ad to earn minutes and consents to advertising. Skipping it does not block normal use. Free and Lite may show ads on selected public pages; Plus only on the homepage. Pro, Max and Business plans, permanent or previously granted ad-free rights, and the workspace remain ad-free.

Timed values in verification and password reset links are used only to complete the relevant action; It is not permanently written to local storage.
3. Mandatory infrastructure records
Netlify, Render, domain or DNS, email, network-security, banking, and authorized-payment providers may use essential technical records to deliver the service, protect sessions and payments, balance load, and prevent fraud or abuse. Record names and retention periods may vary with provider configuration. LectureSift does not use these records to build advertising profiles.
Preview tools, which Netlify can only add to the authorized site owner, are not part of the general visitors' LectureSift experience; The site design also hides this toolbar.
4. Legal nature
Essential records are processed for service delivery and security. Analytics and advertising technologies operate only with your separate choice; withholding or withdrawing it does not block the core service.
5. How can you delete or change it?
- The “Log out” button on the My Account screen removes the session token and invalidates the server session.
- Clearing lecturesift.com site data from browser settings removes all local records.
- When an incognito/private window is closed, records for that window may be deleted according to the browser's policy.
- My Account language and country; You can change the currency from the Plans screen.
- Blocking all storage may result in input not being protected or some features not working.
6. External sites, advertising and payment screens
When you visit an external site such as Instagram, that site’s cookie and privacy policies apply. During card payment, essential security records on the payment provider’s secure screen are governed by that provider’s policy; LectureSift does not store the full card number or CVV.
Ads may appear on selected public pages for Free and Lite, and only on the homepage for Plus. Ads load with consent; withdrawal stops new requests. Pro, Max and Business plans, permanent or previously granted ad-free rights, and the workspace remain ad-free.
If rewarded ads are enabled, Google Ad Manager/Publisher Tag may use its own security, delivery, and measurement records only after advertising consent and an explicit user start. The provider’s policies also apply. LectureSift does not penalize users who do not complete an ad.
7. Update and communication
