FROM SOURCE TO STUDY NOTE

From a paragraph to a useful study note

The text and answers below are teaching examples, not the result of a live processing job.

Example source paragraph

Five students take 18, 20, 20, 22 and 70 minutes to travel to school. The total is 150 minutes, the arithmetic mean is 30 minutes and the median is 20 minutes. These five observations do not represent every student's journey.

Short study note

The mean divides the total by the number of observations: 150 ÷ 5 = 30 minutes. The median is the middle of the ordered group: 20 minutes. These results describe only the five observations.

A detail worth keeping

You cannot conclude that every student travels for 30 minutes. A mean does not replace individual observations; a useful summary preserves that limit.

Would the median change if the 70-minute journey took 120 minutes?

No. The middle observation would still be 20. The total would rise to 200, so the mean would become 40 minutes. Applying a concept to a changed example checks more than recognition of its definition.

How to summarize a PDF

  1. Add your course file

Choose a document. If you use several documents, put them in lesson order. Make sure scanned pages are readable.

  2. Choose your study pack

Select the output language, summary and transcript options, and the number of quiz questions and flashcards. Available options depend on your plan.

  3. Check it and study

Once processing finishes, compare important numbers and definitions with the document. Choose PDF, Word or TXT exports to suit your study session.

Which documents can you upload?

Use PDF course notes, DOCX documents, PPTX presentations, and TXT or Markdown text. PDF pages without a text layer and supported images are read with OCR. Blurry scans, complex tables and formulas can need extra checking.

Keep the source beside the summary

Check the conditions in a definition, the units in a formula and the group an example describes. For a long document, compare its section headings with the result and revisit missing points. AI output is not a guarantee of accuracy.

Frequently asked questions

Can I summarize a scanned PDF?

Yes. OCR reads pages without a text layer. Quality depends on how readable the scan is; check numbers, tables and specialist terms against the original.

Can I use more than one document?

Yes. Arrange document files in lesson order and upload them for one study pack. Videos and documents are processed as separate jobs.

Can a Turkish PDF become English study notes?

Source and output languages can be selected separately. Choose one of the 13 supported output languages and set transcript and translation options in the workspace.

Is PDF summarization free?

Check Plans for the current trial and usage allowances. Document processing is calculated as a minute equivalent based on extracted text; your plan determines available outputs and limits.

Start with your own course document.

Choose one topic, upload the source and create a study pack. Check its important points before adding them to your review.
